Dear Lovely Readers and Writers,

As the summer’s heat lingers and a few leaves fall ahead of autumn, I dream of something new. Recently, my mother-in-law, Noriko, passed away, and in losing her, I reflected on life’s fleeting days.

She was brave, going through much of her life as a single mother to my husband and his sister. We miss her jokes and how she laughed. Letting go is never easy, and I hear her voice when I ponder what is next.

Sometimes, when special people in our lives pass on, they leave behind the gift of a dream.

I feel Noriko speaks to me in a whisper, urging me to follow my heart to a different path and journey. It is time for me to change direction and find a new creative home.
